We are a 10-acre farm, located in Lovettsville, Virginia, focused on rescuing animals, selling a variety of eggs, and crafting kindness. The farm is home to creatures great and small.  Although we are primarily a rescue farm, we strive to produce quality food from our land including: eggs (duck, chicken, goose, turkey, and quail), fruits, vegetables, and flowers all while respecting the land and ecosystem on the farm through permaculture methods. One day we will have a thriving food forest!  

We offer limited boarding options for horses, educational tours, and advice on responsible animal care. Rescue, rehabilitate, foster, and re-home animals in need. Provide the veterinary attention, nutrition, training, and love to each animal who enters the farm while working with their respective rescue organizations. If we can’t help we will do our best to provide resources and assistance to those asking.

“The world is a wonderful place and you have a wonderful place in this world.” Our ranch manager, David, told this to his firstborn son on the day that he was born and has said it to him and his sister every day since. It is the founding idea behind the transition to the way that we do things now.

We can all make a difference in our own small way. That’s what we’re doing here at Melody Meadows and we’d love for you to be a part of it. We are working in sync with nature to improve the air, soil, and water quality on our little patch of this great land. All natural things work in symbiosis and we manage our animals within that symbiosis to not just sustain nature but to regenerate and promote that natural world. Life begets life. Supporting our cause promotes that life and, we hope, will help our practices to grow to other producers here and around the world.

Our meat products are managed in a manner that creates a healthier ecosystem. As a result of our methods, we are able to grow clean, natural, nutrient-dense, and, above all, absolutely delicious meat products.  Every animal on our ranch gives to the natural cycles more than it takes and leaves more life behind than was there before. We sequester carbon in our soils and use that carbon to grow more and better grasses, which then feed our animals and sequester even more carbon in the soil.
