Welcome to the 2025 Donation Season!
We’re kicking off another exciting season of saving pumpkins from the landfill and putting them to good use—feeding farm animals and supporting sanctuaries across North America. Whether you’ve donated pumpkins before or you’re just learning about us, you’re part of a growing movement that turns seasonal abundance into community impact.
Look What We Did Together Last Year
- Rescued millions of pounds of pumpkins and produce that would have gone to waste

Why 2025 Matters Even More
This year, many donation sites face economic challenges such as higher feed costs, tighter budgets, and increased need for food donations. That’s why your participation matters more than ever:
- Every pumpkin you save helps a farmer or sanctuary stretch their resources.
- Every dollar donated keeps our platform live and accessible to every donor and site in need.
Decorate for Donation
- Skip paint, glitter, wax, or stickers, and anything you wouldn’t want to eat
- Use water-based markers or natural materials
- Keep them uncarved until close to your event so they last longer!
When you decorate thoughtfully, your pumpkin can bring joy twice: once on your porch and again as food for animals.
Sharing is Caring
- Share pictures of your best natural decorating tips on IG and FB, and tag us @pumpkinsforpigs to encourage others to take action
- Share this email to remind friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors how to decorate for donation
