Financially Support PFP This Year
Tuesday, December 3
November 1 kicked off the pumpkin donation season. With donation collections across the country throughout November, there are lots of ways to get involved that works with your busy Fall schedule. We hope you are following along with us on Instagram and Facebook to see the actions of your neighbors. New to us this year, we are meeting folks who chose not to buy pumpkins this year. What did you decide?
By participating in PFP free programs, you receive:
- Food Cost Savings: You receive pumpkins and other viable foodstuffs that can be used as nutritious feed for animals, reducing feed expenses.
- Composting Material: Inedible pumpkins are a great resource for composting, enriching soil, and supporting sustainable farming practices.
- Reduced Waste:You help divert food waste from your local landfill, contributing to environmental sustainability and extending its life for everyone.
- Community Support:Participating in the program connects your business to local communities, strengthening relationships and promoting your role in sustainability efforts.
- Positive Publicity: Being a part of a well-regarded, mission-driven initiative, potentially attracting new supporters or customers.
- Customizable Partnerships:You can align participation with your specific needs, whether feeding animals nutritious feed or improving soil health.
This win-win that helps both you and the environment!!
How have you benefited from donated pumpkins, gourds, trees, and other items?
Did you save on feed costs? Were you able to stretch your resources further with our programs? What did that mean for your bottom line? $10? $50? $150? Or even more?
What We Accomplished Together So Far
Pumpkins For Pigs (PFP) is a small non-profit organization established in 2017 with a mission to reduce food waste in our communities by diverting viable foodstuffs including pumpkins to farms, animal sanctuaries, and rescues for feed or compost.

What Is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday is a global movement that occurs on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving in the United States. It was created as a day that encourages people to do good, a contrast to the consumerism of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. On Giving Tuesday, individuals, communities, and organizations come together to give back in various ways, such as donating to charities, volunteering, or performing acts of kindness.

Pumpkins For Pigs Foundation is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3). We're committed to doing the most we can with the resources available to us. Every dollar we receive directly supports our mission of reducing food waste, and we're constantly striving to maximize our impact. We deeply appreciate your understanding and continued support as we work to make a difference with the resources available to us.
